Authentic flavours add to the vibrancy of Vasse Village

Vasse community members and visitors can now add authentic Chinese cuisine to the menu when visiting the array of local retailers that have opened their doors in Vasse Village.

A growing local community, convenient location and expanding opportunity are among the reasons the Ngo Family chose Vasse Village for the latest addition to their popular Chinese restaurant business.

Having served the Busselton and Dunsborough communities for over 30 years, Vasse Village stood out as an ideal place for Newtown Chinese.

Owned and operated by the Ngo Family, Newtown Chinese has already established a busy local trade since they opened in early April.

Dennis Ngo returned to Australia after working in the UK for four years to run the family orientated restaurant together with his wife Fiona whom he met overseas.

“I’ve worked in my family’s restaurants since I was a child and am delighted to bring the flavours of Chinese food to the expanding community of Vasse” said Dennis.

“Our lunchtime menu is proving popular and we are the only place south of Perth to offer a selection of handmade, assorted dim sum favourites as a lunchtime offer.

“Our weekends are already really busy with both dine in and take away options an instant hit.

“There is so much variety on our menu that each time you visit the restaurant you can have a different dining experience.

“But we consistently ensure fresh, authentic flavours no matter which dish you choose and a pleasant, friendly atmosphere for all the family to enjoy”.

Dennis also added that one of his favourite dishes is Char Kwei Teo, a flat wide rice noodle dish, with fresh vegetables including carrots, onions, beansprouts and in a light soy coating.

For something different or for a special occasion, he also suggests ordering ahead and opting for the Chinese style roasted pork belly or roasted duck, which need 24 – 36 hour notice.

A number of exciting new retailers look set to be announced in the coming weeks, joining Vasse Medical Centre, Vasse Pharmacy, Latitude 33.7 Physiotherapy, Vasse Village News & Lotto, Magpie Coffee Cafe, Coles Supermarket and McDonalds in the vibrant main street of Vasse Village.
