Where do you work and what do you do?
I work for Vasse Coles as a Fresh Produce Assistant
Where do you live and how long have you lived down south ?
I live in Central Busselton. I have been down south on and off all my life (44 years) but the last 15 years I have been down here in Busselton.
What do you love about Vasse Village?
The Coles is excellent and we have very good and high quality fresh produce. I actually shop here myself.
Moving forward, what is the most exciting part about Vasse Village?
There is wasn’t much out here and now there is a village and somewhere to go locally.
What is one thing that might surprise people about your business?
We have trolley wipes which is always a nice touch. They are a great sanitiser for the trolley handles. We also have click and collect which is a free service and fantastic for busy people, mums with small kids or elderly people recovering from illness and don’t wan to get out of their car.
What is the most popular thing you sell?
Right now it is Watermelon! It is fresh an great in the warm weather.
Tell Me a little bit about yourself?
I’ve been working on and off in supermarkets for 14 years. I run a small lawn mowing business in my spare time which is always busy in the summertime. I also love body surfing and netball.
What is your favourite movie/book? Why?
My favourite movie is The Shawshank Redemption because I loved the characters!
Do you play local sport?
Netball and Body Surfing
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
I would go back to China because when I was there I missed out on going to Mount Hua which has these amazing sky planks where you can climb up a shear wall. The day I went it was raining and we weren’t able to go.
What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Having a games night with family.
Where is your favourite restaurant down south?
Fishbone restaurant out in Margaret River.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Run your own business. It has been a great learning experience.
